Felice Prudente Sta. Maria is a veteran writer, photographer and lecturer whose works have appeared since 1973 in Philippine and foreign popular publications and academic journals. She is well-known for her essays on socio-political events, culinary history and cuisine, art and aesthetics, sociology, humanities, cultural environment development and values regeneration. She has written exhibition text for major art exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila and her pioneering advocacy of Filipino language text for Museum exhibitions with English adaptations has been highly regarded in the Philippine Museum sector.

Sta. Maria's writings have developed into the representation of a personal philosophy for social transformation. She pursues the ideas she writes about through proactive cultural advocacy and endeavours to improve the teaching of social studies, arts and heritage conservation side by side with citizenship education.
